Lane had been under a lot of stress. He'd first caught them kissing, got completely confused from it, then had to explain to Tash that she might never see her mommy again, and then try and convince himself that everything was ok, and at the moment in time, it just wasn't happening. Five days ago, Sienna had fell down a flight of stairs and hit her head hard, she'd undergone surgery and every day the baby was losing it's heart beat. Sienna had been bleeding a lot, infact, there was only a 2% chance it'd survive the accident. Lane sat in the waiting room, Natasha was curled in his arms sleeping, her doll like face stained with tears, glassy lie her eyes, hidden from view at the time being. He was just about drifiting off too, they'd been staying here also, in sleeping bags and duvets, only going home for showers, and in his case, a quick shave and a change of clothes, all the rest of the time, they were lay together in the suite they'd rented out to them. Sienna's disaster had been in the local newspaper and on the news, the headlines being 'OWNER OF ACE'S LOVER DEAD?!'. it hurt him to read such disgusting things, like 'had she been pushed?'. he'd been questionned by police and all sorts. apparently, she was unbelievably lucky to have survived. a doctor burst in and tasha jolted up, crying automatically like a baby, and Lane snapped his eyes open. "She's awake!" he shouted. Lane jumped up, holding onto his daughter and running into the intensive care unit, looking at her. she looked so drained it was sickening, this was the first time he'd seen her for 2 days, and last time, she looked ... reasonably better. He put Tash down and leaned over her bed kissing her forehead sweetly. "Oh baby. It's ok, you're ok now." He felt tears pricking his eyes and he coughed softly, choked. "are you ok, do oyu want anything? nurse ... is she ok?" the nurse nodded as best she could, of course, sienna wasn't completely out of danger, she was heavily drugged for the severe pain in her head. he smiled and grabbed her hand, lightly, stroking the back of it with his thumb. "i love you. i love you so much." he whispered.

Natasha looked at her mommy and slowly sat on the bed. You could blame a four year old for being scared. She'd not seen her mother in this way, her face was still kinda bruised and her eyebrow had two stiches in it, and there were tubes all over the place. Lane heard her qustions, and looked down. "you fell. down the stairs and landed on your head. cracked your skull. doctors said you had a 5% chance of surviving, but you were one of those lucky ones. They told us you could be brain damaged, suffer amnesia and not know any of us. but it'd all count on when you woke up. that was 6 days ago. you've been in a coma for 5 nights. this is your sixth day but you've woke up so needless to say these dumb shits are gonna have you under aneasthetic again so they can 'check you out'." He smiled and smoothed her hair back gently, he didn't know if she was in pain, she'd been injected with god knows what because she'd been stirring in pain apparently. He smiled at her, of course the tubes where a little, scary, but it was still Sienna, and he loved her, he had to stand by her. "We've been staying in the family suite. On the floor, under duvets and blankets." He laughed. "We didn't want to leave you in case, you woke up. They wouldn't let us see you until you did." He pulled his face. He disliked the doctors in intensive care, they only cared about the patient, not the family behind them. And it hurt to hear them speaking so negatively when a four year old child was sitting right there. "They told Tasha to prepare for 'the worst'. Tash! I mean, she's four years old. But we stayed strong for you." He smiled and Tasha nodded grinning at her mommy.

He knew exactly what Sienna was oging to ask when she asked Tasha to check out the bathroom, he coughed nervously and heard her words. He released her hand and stood up looking at the notes at the end of her bed. She bit his lip, head still down. He couldn't come to terms with this yet, and he really didn't want to have to break the news to her. They'd been trying for so long, it seemed a huge waste now. He shook his head, eyes failing to meet hers. "Uh ..." he said. Technically, she'd miscarried, and they were waiting until she woke to take the foetus from her body.

Lane's hand moved up to his chin and he rubbed his stubble. looking up glancing into her eyes for the most breif moment. "there is ... there's no more ... baby ... Sienna." He coughed that nervous cough again.

When he'd found out that the baby was actually, gone, he'd burst into tears. And that was something Lane rarely did nowadays, he had his moments, but he did really fall to the floor in sobs of tears. They wanted this baby so much, and he couldn't bare to think aobut people who went and aborted kids. it was sick to think of.
