She listened to Aria, let her words reassure her. She had that ability to make you feel good about anything you did. Even if you murdered someone, she'd make it seem like it was the right thing to do. But, err, let's hope Lorelei didn't go killing anyone.
She nodded. My mother's just all around bitchy. But this just goes to show-- I don't need her. She listened to Aria's offer, and she smiled. I might just have to take you up on that, she said sincerely, her mind wandering briefly to what her life would be like if she had a mother like Aria. Or even a father, for that matter. But, she didn't dwell on it for too long. There was no need to focus on what you could never have.

Aria placed her hand on top of Lorelei's. Lorelei was brave to go out on her own and try to acheive her dream. Aria didn't doubt that Lorelei would turn out to be a great singer, selling tons of records, and be world renowned. Not only because Lorelei was talented, but because she had the determination to succeed. "You'll show her. You'll show her why you're better than her," said Aria confidentally.
Aria smiled. "I would love to have you meet my family. And they would love it. Mom is forever asking me to bring my friends home to meet her. Not only boyfriends, but any friends. She's infernally curious." Aria rolled her eyes. Her mother was a sweetheart, but also kind of nosy. She wanted to know everything about her childrens' lives.

She couldn't help but grin. Aria's family was so, well, picturesque. Like a TV Show or a SitCom.
I would love to let you meet Thomas sometime. He's such a goof, he's always getting into things. She smiled, thinking of their weekly visits. He's very into baseball, too. He thinks he's the next big thing. His ego is larger than the state of California. She chuckled, feeling happiness fill the voids talking about her mother had left. Her cell phone buzzed noisily against her thigh, and she frowned at it.
One second, she mouthed, opening it. She was done shortly, and she stood. That was her, she told her friend, grimacing. I have to pick Thomas up. But, we should make plans. Lunch some time or something? She was picking up her bags hurriedly, checking her watch. She paused, smiling at Aria. She was truly glad to have found her again. [/blockquote]

Aria grinned. Thomas sounded positively hilarious. "I would love to meet Thomas sometime. You should meet Christian, too, if I can ever track him down. For a man with a freelance job, he's awfully hard to find without plans." Her brother had a schedule of his own, most of which didn't involve working.
Aria waited while Lorelei was on the phone, then nodded quickly. "Sure, no problem. Lunch or anything is great for me. Wanna make it lunch on Thursday? Anywhere you want. There are some great restaurants in Hollywood." Talking about Hollywood so nonchalantly came naturally to Aria, who had grown up in the 90210 zip code. It was no biggie to her, but she had to admit that it was nice. She had almost everything she could want at the tip of her fingers. Everything except for snow, that was.
