The darkness of night shrouded the streets, with only the moon light and the occasional streetlamp illuminating a path. Even though it was night, it was anything but quiet. Rumblings of cars along the street, and the hum of subways underground was the sounds that passed through. Of course the drug dealers and prostitutes littered the streets, mumbling to themselves. All of these elements came together to creat the unique atmosphere of urban city life.
A slim female figure stepped atop the littered sidewalks, her laced up boots rythmically clicked with each stride. Her pleated skirt bounced, not revealing too much as she made her way down the streets. Slightly above her knee was where the skirt stopped, her graceful legs exposed. The chocolate eyes of this girl darted arounf the corners are she continued on, checking for any signs of danger. A gold necklace hung around her neck, not quite plunging into a invisible space underneath her loose fitting top. It occasionally caught the light of an object, cause a small golden shine to appear in the night.
Within a five yeard radius or so from the club, she heard the commotion of loud music, dancing people, the usual occupants of a club. She wasn't sure of what it looked like quite yet, and was eager to see. This would be her first night of work, as well as her first night out in this city. Anticipation filled inside of her, and she could barely contain it.
Raina made her way into the club, seeing everything she expected in more. No it wasn't amazing, but it was a pretty cool place to work at. She had the urge to dance on the floor, but she could do that another time. She ran her fingers throught her dark hair, as she made her way through a small crowd. The current flow of the beats made this the perfect dancing spot. Word had spread around of the club, and the immense crowd showed how obvious that was.
As she meandered towards the bar, Raina could feel a few piars of eyes following her. Nothing she wasn't used to before, so she shrugged it off. She was off - duty so catering to the needs of perveted men wasn't on her to do list at the moment.
She took a seat at the bar, crossing her legs and called for the bartender. After waiting for a brief moment she ordered a sour apple wine cooler. The sweet taste of the liquor would be refreshing on this particularly warmer night. As she waited for the bartender to return, she faced the dancing crowd. A few gazes met with hers, and she'd occasionally flash a flirty smile in return, but nothing to get them too interested inher.
When the alcohol was deliviered to her, she paid the bartedner the proper fee, adding a Thanks as well. She picked up the delicate glass and brought it up to her lips, taking a small sip. Setting the glass back down, she casually sat back in the seat, swaying her feet to the current song.

It was a busy night and Talan had been going over paperwork in his office all night. It was a drag really. He was a partier by nature and here he was sitting in his office doing paperwork. He couldn’t have been more relieved when he finished up. He stacked the papers he had been working on neatly and slid them in his desk, which he locked. Sure, he would lock up his office when he left it, but you can just never be too careful.
His slid back in his chair and moved into the next room. He actually had a small apartment attached to the his office. It wasn’t anything special in size or anything, but everything in it was of high quality. It was really one big room with an area that was obviously for a couch and living room stuff, while the other area had a bed, and then of course there was the small kitchen where the flooring changed from carpet to tile. There was also a bathroom with a nice shower in it that he used often, just as he was going to right now.
Moving into the bathroom, he slipped out of his clothing and into the shower. The hot water felt good on his muscles. He was a little tense and he tried to rub his neck and stuff to loosen up. One of these days, he’d have to get a massage. He wasn’t one to normally get tense, but there were some celebrity parties coming up that had to go down perfect and he just had to have everything run smoothly. If they went as well as he was planning, he was sure his Dad would be ready to turn the club over to him completely.
As soon as he finished, he slipped out of the shower stall, closing the door behind him. He rubbed his head vigorously with a towel and once it felt dry for the most part, he dried of his body and wrapped the towel around his waste. He moved into the main room and went to his closet that was next to his bed. The mini apartment was really only mean for late nights and such, but he just hadn’t felt like looking for a place. Besides, he had it in mind to get a real nice home, but at this stage in his life, he didn’t have anybody to share a place with, so he just used the small apartment. Why waste his money on something he had, even if it was small.
He dressed in some dark denim jeans, a white wife beater, and a dark blue dress shirt. He left the dress shirt buttoned only about half way and rolled up the sleeve to just before his elbows. He didn’t really like having his forearms covered for some reason. He slipped on a pair of black boots, and made his way back into the bathroom. He was one to really work on his hair, but he used some hair gel to spike it. It wasn’t hard to do. Took him a matter of only a couple minutes to get it looking good. Every thing all said and done, he slipped back into his office locking the door behind him and then out of his office, again locking the door behind him.
He moved his way down the stair and into main room. The door at the bottom of the stair opened right next to the bar. Giving the place a once over to make sure things were running smoothly as ever, he nodded approval and looked to the bartenders serving drinks and the customers who were happily receiving their beverages with a long wait, which was always good. He noticed a particularly striking woman, and he just couldn’t help himself. He walked around the bar down to where she was sitting and as the bartender took the money and she took her drink, he leaned in on the side of her and reached forward, motioning the employee to slide the money back forward.
“It’s on the house,” he said with his charming smile as he slid the money the rest of the way back to her. Looking back to the bartender, he said, “Anything she wants is on the house.” He smiled at her once more, and turned to check out the dance floor, leaning his back against the counter, elbows propped up on either side of him. It seemed to be a good night. There were a lot of people and the music was great and he was feeling the beat. He wasn’t going to say much more to her unless she wanted him to. Yeah, he had just given her free choice of all the alcohol she wanted, but if she didn’t want to move things further and maybe have a dance or two, or whatever. That was ok with him. He wasn’t trying to buy her attention. Not really.

It wasn't too long before, her eyes fell upon the approaching male figure. Grasping the fine glass, she brought it to her lips once again, takigna quick sip. Her eyes followed him as he came closer. An expression of surprise crossed her face as she watched this man give her the privilege of free drinks - all night. She wasn't sure who he was, but she would pursue more information about him. He was quite attractive, which barely covered it. That would give her another reason to get herself more familiar with this stranger. And she was hoping he shared the same interest as well.
Well, I'm not too sure of who you are, but I do feel compelled to thank you Raina said, her voice smooth and soft. Someone having the power for free drinks all night must be some sort of an authoritive figure. Maybe he was a close friend of the owner or had some other close relation with the owner. Him being the owner himself barely crossed her mind, but she didn't rule that out. Just because he didn't show up in obnoxously expensive clothing didn't mean he wasn't capable of owning the place. Rain had been to many clubs like this, and the owners always tried to give off a sense of superiority.
A soft sigh left her lips as the light and sights of the club reflection in her eyes. She noticed that her money was still lying atop the table, and slid it closer towards herself. Money wasn't the most important thing to her, but she could probably find some other important use for it. Anyway I can repay you for your kindness? She questioned, but didn't try to seem too overbearing. She had seen how much of a turnoff aggressive women were in a situation like this. But she wouldn't pretend to not be interested. Playing hard to get was something she was good at, but coulnd't pull it off when she was interested.
More up tempo dancing songs began to play throughout the club. Her eyes directed towards the DJ booth, watching as he work on the turntables. It was something that really fascinated her, the urban sounds and crathes, the way it all came together. That is, if you knew what you were doing. As better dance songs began to play, more and more people headed over to the dance floor. She was tempted herself, but would wait a while longer before dancing. One thing she didn't like was being near tall than many of the guys. She wasn't a giant, but with heels on, she stood at a height over most guy's comfort level. Ahh, the ego of men. Couldn't handle with a woman being taller than them.
She received a few inviting looks to dance, but the politely declined with a smile. Raina would have another chance to dance with everyman in the club another time. Besides, they'd find another female to dance with anyway. Most likely someone who'd be willing to do more than dance here on the floor. Her feet began to tap to the beat, as she watch ther immense crowd dance, gyrate, and sway to the awesome songs.

Talan was not the type to flaunt that he owned the club. Sure, he had just given her free drinks all night, but he wasn’t going to be like, “I own this place.” He had never had problems with women before he had the prestige of being the club owner, so why bother? Even so, he hated egotistical people. It was important to him to stay real. Not succumb to the money and power that came with his job. He did indulge in expensive things sometimes, but he didn’t buy more things than he needed.
Yes, he did have an ipod and a very nice computer, besides his work one, a cell phone, and all those things. But, he also had only two pairs of tennis shoes and one pair of boots. One set of sneakers were for when he worked out. The other pair was for when he was out and about and didn’t need to look more dressed up. The boots were for work and the times he did need to look more dressed up. He didn’t ride around in a limo, and he didn’t wear a bunch of ridiculously expensive bling, and he didn’t even spend money on a expensive place to stay. He liked to save.
Needless to say, Talan didn’t have any sort of superiority complex. He treated all of his workers with respect and as equals, while still letting them know he’s boss. It created a very nice working atmosphere and his employees were loyal to him and tried hard not just because they were paid well, but because they wanted to do their best for him. He would even feel comfortable calling some of them his friends. His employees liked working for him.
He listened to her thanks and turned his head to look her in the eyes as she spoke. It was when she asked how she could repay him that he smiled that charming smile of his to her. Now let’s make one thing clear. Talan never starts of with the intention of getting sex. Never. Yes, he has a reputation for ending the night that way most of the time with whatever lady catches his eye, but he only lets things progress as the lady wishes. He is perfectly content just having a nice dance with a lady he’s attracted to. If it happens to lead to sex, then he gladly obliges, but he never tries to turn things in that direction. He reads women and tries to make them happy. Smile still in place, he said, “No thanks necessary. I’d very much like to know your name if that’s ok. Mine’s Talan.”
It wasn’t hard to notice the interest she took in what the DJ was doing. He looked up to the DJ booth, and then back to her. An idea came to mind and he grinned. “You find that stuff interesting huh? Me too. I often go up there and observe trying to learn as much as possible. You want to go up there?” he asked with a raise of the eyebrow and a tilt of his head in the direction of the booth.
