The air outside was cold, had to have been about 40 degreese, but Allie was used to the cold by now - at least she liked to convince herself. The petite girl exhaled, and her breath clouded in front of her for a moment, then faded away. The petite girl wore a pair of old ripped up jeans that looked as if they had been run over by a car or something. Her shirt was almost as bad, but it covered her at least. It was a maroon color, and tank top. She really didn't have the right clothes on to be out in this weather, and at night either. But Allie didn't have a choice - she was homeless. She moved out of her original home with her dad, since he was so abusive towards her. She didn't have anything of her own except the clothes on her back. Allie didn't think what she was going to do when she left, but anything was better than living in that hell hole.
She shivered as a cool wind blew through the air, giving her goosebumps. Allie rubbed her bare arms with her hands, trying to make herself somewhat more warm. The park was beautiful, especially during the day, and she knew it so well. But only one thing was on her mind right now, somewhere to stay for the night. Somewhere she could be warm and not worrying about freezing to death during the night. Really, at this point, she would have done with anything, as long as it was warm. A sigh escaped her pale lips as she sat down on a park bench. Her arms were wrapped around her body still, trying to stay warm. Allie's dark brown eyes looked up to the skies, looking at what few stars there were to see. The rest were hidden behind a huge dark cloud, that wasn't looking to good to her. Even the moon was hidden tonight. The only light was a faint street light off in the distance, so Allie couldn't see but only a couple yards away. "Well crap." She mumbled to herself. "Its already cold, but now rain? What next, snow?" She asked herself. Some random pedestrian walking by may think she was crazy, the skinny girl sitting there in clothes made for warmer weather, looking like crap, and talking to herself. But she wasn't crazy, really she wasn't.
