Genesis went into the gym, wear tight forest green spandex shorts and a white hater top. She wore which high top nike sneakers and carried a matching bag. She always had to match, and always look good, which is why she is here. She had her hair up in a nice tight bun, so itwouldn't stick to her face when she sweat, which, she knew she would.
She checked into the gym, andput her bag in the locker room, making sure to get her water bottle outbefore leaving. She went out into the open area and tried to decide what she wanted to do. What did she want to work out first? Was it her legs? Or her arms? Or did she want to do both? Shebit her lip as she thought and finallydecided on the stationary bycicle.
She walked over to the bike and hoped on and began to ride, putting her hands on the bars as they moved along with the rythm of her feet.

Aria was using the eliptical, her iPod headphones securely in her ears. She was listening to the soundtrack for a show she was trying out for, and she moved her lips along with the words. She would never sing out loud in a public place like the gym, that would just be awkward. Plus she was working out too hard to sing. But maybe, if they started karoake at the gym...Aria giggled at the thought. That would be classic.
Aria used one hand to brush back a loose curl, pulling her shirt from her skin with her other hand. She had been on the eliptical for half of an hour, but she could stand another 15 minutes. She hated working out, and didn't even need to that much, but she liked the self-discipline it caused her to have. Besides, her mother kept telling her that one day all those years of not exercising would catch up with her, and she certainly didn't want that to happen.
Aria smiled as a beautiful young woman started up on the stationary bike next to her, then turned her attention back to the lyrics. It was a Sondheim musical, which meant that the lyrics were incredibly tricky.

Genesis smiled back at the girl and kept pumping her arms and legs. She looked over at her and saw her mouthing the words to whatever song she was currently listening to. What was she listening to? She looked quite odd moving her mouth but nothing was coming out. She laughed a little to herself. But hey, if we lived our lives according to what other people thought about us, then we would all be really really depressed people.
"What are you listening to?" she mouthed wondering is she could understand her lips. She didn't think she would be able to hear her anyway, since she had her music on, so, might as well mouth it.

Aria noticed the young woman laughing, and she smiled to herself. She was probably laughing at her, not that it mattered. Aria was used to causing people to chuckle. Then the young woman mouthed something, and Aria took the headphones out of her ears.
She could pretty much figure out what the young woman had said, using her detective skills to figure out "listening". She put the iPod on pause, then turned her attention to the young woman, while continuing to use the elliptical.
"I'm listening to Sondheim's Into the Woods. I'm auditioning for a part in it next week, and I want to be prepared," She explained.

((I was totally Florinda in into the woods! heh))
"Into the woods huh? That's great" She smiled. "Break a leg" she winked and took a few deep breaths as she felt herself begin to sweat. She hadn't even been on this thing for more than 5 minutes and yet she was getting tired. She had to push herself. "So, what's your name?" she asked turning her head back straight as she peddaled.

((Into the Woods is possibly my favorite musical. Cinderella rox my sox...anyway, Florinda "The KING'S festival?!?The stepsisters rock too))
Aria grinned. "Yeah, Into the Woods," she said a bit breathlessly, as she felt the eliptical go to incline. Yippee. "You've heard of it?" A lot of people hadn't heard of Into the Woods, but it was a really awesome musical. "Thanks," she said when the young woman wished her luck in theatre terms.
"I'm Aria Jamison," she said, then wondered if this person would laugh at her. She did have kind of an ironic name, what with an Aria being a solo in opera and she being a singer. But that went right over some people's heads. "What about you?"

"Yea I've heard of it. It's a very interesting musical... in a cute sorta way" she said tucking her stray hairs behind her ears. she slowed down her pace a bit, feeling her legs get a little tired. But, she had to keep going. No pain no gain.
"Aria? How ironic" she laughed a little. "I'm genesis. Genesis Moore." she said holding one hand out to shake. "Nice to meet you mama" she said with a smile.

Aria grinned. "Yeah, it's cute, but kind of morbid. All of those people dying - well, it isn't exactly for kids. I saw it for the first time when I was eleven, and even then I was traumatised." She had been utterly frightened when she was eleven and all of those people had died, and she had grown up in LA, which wasn't exactly a city for the faint of heart. It had almost ruined Disney movies for her - almost. But now she loved Into the Woods.
"Yeah, it is kind of ironic. My parents had a sense of humor, I guess. But Genesis is a really cool name. I've never met anybody with that name before." The only people who had names from Books of the Bible that she had met had been boys with names like Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.
Aria shook Genesis' hand, and grinned. "It's nice to meet you too."

"Thankyou" she giggled. "It's nice to meet you too." she smiled slowing down. "Good lord I'm tired." she said now coming to a complete start. "So, where do you live around here?" she aksed. If Aria didn't wanna tell it was cool, but she was just tring to get a convo going, and possibly make a friend.

Aria's time on the eliptical was up, all she had to do now was the cool down. She went slower and slower, till the machine cut off completely. Phew. That was better. She still felt like her legs were moving, and the sensation caused her to shiver.
"I live here in the city, but my parents recently moved to Anaheim, and I tend to call wherever they are home," Aria replied smoothly. Mom and Dad had downsized when their children had moved out of the house, though their Anaheim house was simply beautiful.
"What about you?" Asked Aria, twisting her curls into a twist-tie to get them off of her neck.

"I live here in the city too. Gladly." she laughed. She hopped off the bike, looking around to see what to do next. "I dontthink i can deal with the parents anymore" she said as she patted her neck lightly, then her forehead. Her aunt and uncle werent her parents, but in a nutshell they were. They raised her. And she was gladto be on her own.

"I know what you mean. The city is great. I love living here, because I'm close to auditions and casting calls and the like. Not to mention great shopping," said Aria, with a grin. That was an added bonus. Shopping wasn't an obsession for her, but it was a favorite pastime.
"Yeah, parents can be a drag occasionally" agreed Aria. She had gotten along well with her parents, but she still enjoyed the independence that came with living alone. Especially since Daddy still footed the bill.

"Of course. Can't forget the shopping" she giggled. "It's everyones number one medicine that's what I say" she turned sideways on the bike and crossed her legs. She would switch to something else in a few minutes.
"I love my parents no doubt, but I love them more now that I'm away from them" she laughed.

Aria nodded. "Shopping is excellent. It's the remedy for everything except for cancer, I think," she said, smiling. "And I can understand what you mean about loving your parents more now that you're away from them. I have to admit that I'm glad to finally be on my own. It's so much easier to appreciate them from afar." Aria grinned mischeviously as she said that. It sounded so ridiculous, yet it was what she kept telling herself.
Aria's workout was over, and she hopped off the eliptical. "Phew, I'm glad that's over. Working out is the pits."

"Yea it ain't that fun, but it must be done" she laughed at her corny little rhyme. "How long have you been here so far?" she asked, getting up and heading over to a nearby treadmill. She turn it on going at a slow speed, pushing the button to make it go up a slope, making the walk more difficult, but it would pay in the long run.
