I would love you if you added canons, really. I don't want to sound pushy or anything, though. It's just a suggestion. I know a lot of people who prefer to play canons; I know I like to.
For my old roleplay site, I had some sub-plots along with the canons, but it was a boarding school roleplay, so it probably wouldn't work with an L.A. roleplay.

IDEAS
love sub-plots.
- What a sweet couple, Elizabeth and Ben were. They were pretty much meant for each other. They would walk down the hall, holding hands, and people would whistle as they walked passed them. They even got caught kissing in the janitor closet.
That is...until Ben saw Elizabeth kissing Dean ON THE LIPS in the courtyard. What could this mean? Elizabeth was cheating on Ben? Ben didn't hestitate to decide what to do. He broke up with her the very next day.
Elizabeth was in tears. The poor dear. "Why?" she cried. "Why? What's gone wrong?" she asked him, tears streaming down her cheeks. Ben said nothing, he just walked off.
Elizabeth was kissing Dean to practice for drama class- they were doing Romeo & Juliet. However, Ben didn't know this. Now Elizabeth doesn't understand why he broke up with her. She know thinks something is wrong with her.
Dean throughly enjoyed kssing Elizabeth, and now he is crushing her. - Love is now in the air. Alyssa is one of the thinest girls around- she's drop dead gorgeous with the perfect body. Alyssa has found herself in love with Sam. Julia, Ayssa's bff, is constantly by her side, trying to help her get ways to win Sam. But when nothing seems to work, Alyssa does something that was terrible.
Julia caught her throwing up in the girl's bathroom, trying to loose weight. Julia is horror struck to see that Alyssa seems to have a problem- she won't eat or drink anything. "I have to win Sam" she would repeat. "I have to win Sam. I can't eat. I have to loose weight."
Julia is under some major pressure? Should she tell someone? Or keep it a secret? - Ben Taylor and Autumn Skye had been a couple throughout the summer. Friends thought that they were pretty much infatuated. However, Ben broke up with Autumn just before he went on holiday to Italy for two weeks, due to him feeling like a bad influence on her- being addicted to drugs, he didn't feel like he was responsible enough for anyone and he didn't want to hurt Autumn at all. He wanted to protect her, right? It's what most people do.
However, while Ben was away, Autumn thought that he was rejecting both their relationship and her friendship, and blindly confessed to her best friend Sophie that she actually liked Adam, one of Ben's best friends. Which, of course, was bound to stir up some controversy. With Ben's breaking-up and her bitter feelings towards him, she discovered that Adam actually liked her back and felt that she may as well get together with him anyway.
When Ben returned, he was crushed to find out about the relationship. Constantly blaming himself, he started getting involved in harder drugs, abusing himself and heading down to the local park in the day to skip classes. Now, Ben and Adam, previously inseparable, are no longer speaking. Ben has been mixing with a bad crowd and doesn't hang out with his previous friends any more.
Will Autumn stay with Adam, despite the obvious tension? And will Ben and Adam ever speak to each other again?
MISC. SUB-PLOTS.
- The holidays are always pretty eventful, and when a bunch of drunken students broke into the school one night in August and started a midnight party in the main hall, drama was bound to spring up. As it was, Felicity Carr started a petty fight with Alex Bedfield.
In a blind rage, Alex ended up seizing a knife from the catering area and stabbed Felicity seven times in the chest. Alex somehow got away with this crime, as all of his friends backed him up in his 'it was self defence' claim, but he hasn't been the same since, and many other students have started avoiding him.
Alex's so called 'friends' abandoned him, his girlfriend, Lizzie Williams, dumped him, and even the teachers started to tiptoe around him. Is suicide the answer? Maybe- in his eyes he sees it as the only way to be happy again. - Since the start of the new term, rumours have been flying around the air, but when third year Elliot Smith heard somewhere that Sam Fox, supposed best friend of Phoebe Cotter, had acted like an asshole behind her back, the word soon escaped and Phoebe found out. Well, it was inevitable really.
The twist is that Sam never said anything, and now Phoebe is torn over who to believe. Although she trusts Sam, he would automatically try to deny it anyway, wouldn't he? Even though Elliot has a blabbermouth personality, his information is usually reliable.
Who will Phoebe listen to? And what will happen to their friendship if she believes the rumours instead of Sam?[/li][/ul]
again, these were for boarding schools RPGs, so you don't have to use them, and it probably wouldn't work for most of them, anyway. just wanted to post some ideas. =]
